This Thursday, the 6'th of August, get set for a look at the man in the mirror. Yet again. The King of Pop comes back to life, with his smash hits getting you to move and groove on the dance floor. Also, there's some superneat memorabilia that you can pick up from us (yeah, and Sound and me picked the stuff personally, from a top secret place- now that's all the more reason for you to come and stake your claim). To top it, if you're a media professional, come enjoy a 25% off on all Indian Beverages. Must I remind you, it's Karaoke night- so come croak and rock. Ciao @ 10D this Thursday!

FRIENDSHIP DAY AT LANDMARK.

Had a blast- Chennai Live and Landmark made a lot of peepz smile out there at Landmark, Spencors.
We started with a few tongue-twisters- got people in a huff, especially with 'plain bun, plum bun, a bun without a plum'. And we all know how that ended- the bun did become the bum. Logical if you think deeper, the bun is food that 's got to anyways find a way out- so the bun becoming the bum not so much a surprise there.
Then we got eleven people on to centre stage, put them in 5 groups (yeah, if you're wondering, one group did end up being a lucky 3- it's the science of how life always favors a few lucky ones), and sent them out on a treasure hunt, where they had to look for 2 books (a thousand splendis suns/the alchemist), 2 CDs (the END/love se magic) and 1 magazine (vogue- august edition).
Like you guessed, the 3 member group found the stuff first, after rummaging the store and close on their heels were a group of 2 boys, who happened to be hotel management students.
So, now if you're following the story, we had 2 groups. The 3 member group called themselves the 'Crazy Puppies': apparently, the guy in the group is puppy. So, I split the word Crazy between the 2 girls in the group. So girl1 became Cra (krey) and girl2 became Zy (zEE) and the boy, the puppy. The other group had 2 boys- they called themselves the 'Cool Cats'.
Now, I had a boxette of the 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S.' series to give away- so I pitted the 'Crazy Puppies' against the'Cool Cats'. A set of 10 F.R.I.E.N.D.S trivia/questions later, we all found out that Krey was a hardcore F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Fan- she got an uber-cool 7/10. The Puppies sang 'Smelly Cat' and called the 'cool cats' smelly cats. (lmao)- supercool rejoinder , I must say.
The Cool Cats admitted defeat, and walked away with Inox Vouchers- and Krey, Zee and Puppy walked away with the boxette.
We did the Treasure Hunt again, and this time we got 10 people and told them we'd BILL all the items on the treasure hunt list-now, how cool is that:'finders keepers'. The irony was that the 2 people who actually won were strangers put together for the task. Well, the gifts apart, I think they found each other on 'Friendship Day'- what a coincidence that they were hidden treasure to each other. They even split the treasure hunt items equally.
Coming a close secong were a mum and two little daughters, who were such sports that we billed them a CD of THE END by The Black Eyed Peas.
All in all, it was THE END of a great day- Happy Friendship Day to one and all. Stay tuned to Chennai Live 104.8 FM.
P.S. The pictures will hurt your eyes on the events page, in a bit.
